14th March 2016 ~ On the third day of our stay in Siem Reap, we went on a cruise on the most significant landmark in Cambodia, the Tonle Sap River and Lake.
There were many tourists who were eager to go on the river/lake cruise and we had to pay USD15 each for the boat fare. We were given this small boat all to ourselves with two boat operators and a guide. Do expect to tip the guide at the end of the trip.
To get to the lake, we had to sail on the river for about 15 minutes. Basically we just observed the panorama on the right and left side of the river and looking at other boats speeding to the same or opposite directions.
