THE IMAGES OF YANGON ONE SATURDAY MORNING

14th DECEMBER 2019 ~ I decided to take a walk in downtown Yangon when it was still quite early. I went to this area which was not explored yet the day before. It was important to maximize one's time especially when I had to leave Yangon for another city in the evening.

There were still a number of huge colonial buildings which majestically adorned the city of Yangon.

I noticed this side of Yangon woke up quite late. The streets were still empty at 8:00 a.m.

Eating by the roadside must be a culture in Yangon Tables and chairs with short legs (wonder they were customized or cut off) offered people a natural place to eat under the sky, day and night.

There were many stalls selling local delicacies for breakfast but again, I was not sure of their halal status but the food looked good.

Of all the stalls, the most distinctive and special would be the one selling betel leaves and betel nuts and other ingredients - which should be a hit among the locals.
