WALKING OVER THE TREE TOP AT SUNGAI SEDIM - PART 1

23RD FEBRUARY 2024 ~ Another attraction at Sungai Sedim, Kulim, was the Tree Top Walk - trekking around the jungle on elevated platforms atop the trees. My main concern was at first whether I had to do a lot of climbing to go on this adventure. From the car park, we had to walk uphill to get to the ticket counter first. The ascending ground was not a big problem as I had to walk on a paved road.

There was also a lodging or accommodation facilities there if one planned to stay overnight.

There was a small exhibition area at the ticket booth, providing information of the flora and fauna of the forest as well as the Canopy Walk.

There were not many people at that time so we had the place all to ourselves.

THE MOREH SESSION WITH EX-COLLEAGUES

   28th MARCH 2024    ~ My friends [of SMK Dato' Jaafar] had the Breaking Fast and Terawikh Prayer event in school. As usual, a Moreh session was set right with the male colleagues after the programme at B-Point Restaurant which was near the school. This had been like an annual activity for us.

       GLOSSARY:   

MOREH - the supper session after the Terawikh prayers.

TERAWIKH - the prayers performed only in the month of Ramadhan at night.

Other than me who was no longer in school, another friend who is now attached to the State Education Department, was also there.

It was just a short session as it was getting late, but it was always great to get to see my friends again. The next gathering should be the Eid visit to my house.

THE FIRST PARCEL FOR EID ARRIVED TODAY

   28TH MARCH 2024    ~ A few hours before breaking fast time, a parcel arrived at the front door of my house. Unannounced delivery box is always welcomed with an open heart and the excruciating part was to figure out who the mysterious sender was.

Thank God the name of the kindhearted person was revealed as soon as the unboxing process was done. She was actually in the list of suspected friend as it was a regular kind of activity carried out regularly before the arrival of Eid.

Thanks a lot, from the bottom of my heart, Puan Zarinamahnum Alias [a friend of UPM TESL Class of 1993] for the Eid cookies. Only Allah may repay your good deeds in this holy month of Ramadan.
