LOOKING AT VIETNAM WAR FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

12th DECEMBER 2014 ~ [2nd DAY HCM] This is another must visit site in Ho Chi Minh City. However, this is not just another museum - War Remnants Museum teaches not only history but also the value of humanity. You might get sad, and even depressed, after seeing the photos of Vietnam war put on display inside the building. Obviously war is not good and the victims are always the innocent people. Another thing, watching too much "Rambo" movies in a way will influence how we see things. Here history is told from another point of view so you will be left to ponder who are the actual heroes and villains.

OUTSIDE: THE US MILITARY ASSETS ON DISPLAY

INSIDE: THE EXHIBITS

OUTSIDE: A MODEL OF A PRISON COMPLEX, STILL AN EERIE PLACE

Visit this page to see some pictures that can be found in the museum. Some of them are graphic in nature, so you have been warned.

I left the museum emotionally disturbed but it was a trip worth going. I should appreciate and be thankful for a peaceful and prosperous life, and there is nothing more I should ask for.
