MY MERSING GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE - ENJOYING "KEROPOK LEKOR" BY THE SEASIDE

29th OCTOBER 2018 ~ When in Mersing, it is a must to eat "Keropok Lekor" [fish sausage made of fish and sago flour, cut and then fried in hot oil] in the afternoon for tea. Thanks to Mr. Muhammad Farimie, an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti SPM batch 2012 who contacted me to take me out after the course session ended. He is now working and residing in the small town. It was kind and thoughtful of him to meet after work.

We went to this place by the ocean behind Seri Malaysia Hotel. There were many people who were eating there, mostly youngsters. That would be a very good place for people to hang out - eating, and chit-chatting while enjoying the scenery.

I requested to be taken to the new landmark in Mersing: the Flinstones Castle. I was happy enough to get to be there outside the gate for a short while.

Well, I met him again the night after for dinner and to get reunited with another ex-student of mine.
