VISITING "PLUM GARDEN" IN BEITOU

5th JUNE 2016 ~ I was expecting to walk through an orchard with trees which bore ripe plums and visitors could pluck the fruits and eat as many as they wanted. And my expectation was too high actually.

This place was once the residence of Yu You-ren, a calligraphy master in Taiwan. There were a lot of calligraphy exhibits in the house and everything was mostly in Chinese which I could not understand. The house had the influence of Japanese architecture as Taiwan was occupied before for more than 50 years.

The place was quite small actually so you could finish going around the house in less than 30 minutes, unless you could read Chinese then you would have to spend more time there.
