It only cost one dirham per ride to get to the other side of the river. The boat will be filled with locals, immigrants and tourists, either to live their daily usual lives or for the latter, just to enjoy the view of Dubai while cruising on the water. The ride lasted less than five minutes but everybody was happy to arrive safely (at least, as there were no life jackets required) but the tourists were happier to be able to see Dubai from a different angle and perspective.
