14th MARCH 2020 ~ We stopped by just to see whether the National Museum of Indonesia was opened to public and Lady Luck was on our side that day.
The museum building was huge and one would need a lot of time to explore the place inside out.
The architecture of the building itself was impressive. I had to spend a bit of my time to admire the front facade of the museum.
The first section of the museum housed the statues and carved stones of the past. Hindu was once a dominant religion in the archipelago hence there were a lot of historic remnants found and preserved until this very day.
I had already seen similar exhibits during my earlier visits to other cities like Bali and Jogjakarta, and Indochina countries like Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, and Myanmar too.
This was however just the introduction part of the visit and of course there were more things to see and learn there.
