EXPLORING KAMPUNG WARNA WARNI JODIPAN - PART 2

[CONTINUATION OF PART 1]

26TH JULY 2025    ~ Another attraction of this village was its Glass Bridge. The bridge was built after the project to beautify the village had become a huge success and Kampung Jodipan was then connected to the other village across the river, Kampung Tridi.

From the bridge, one could get the bird's eye view of the two villages, divided by a river, Sungai Bantras.

Consequently, this called for another photoshoot session but at a higher point of view.

The only villager I met and talked to here was the lady attending her small shop in front of her house. The locals were nowhere to be seen when we were there.

It was one very long day for the seven of us, plus the guide and the driver too. We bade Jodipan Village in Malang farewell for now. For one thing, we had taken photos at all the necessary spots to remember the village by when we arrived home later.

EXPLORING KAMPUNG WARNA WARNI JODIPAN - PART 1

26TH JULY 2025    ~ The first attraction visited once we arrived in Malang, Indonesia, was Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan [TRANSLATE: Jodipan Colourful Village]. This place reminded me so much of the Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan when I was there back in March, 2019 [READ HERE].

How did the village transformation happen? It was initially an assignment carried out by eight university students in their attempt to change the village into a cleaner and more sustainable place to live in. Eventually, it was a great success.

More photoshoot session took place and we never said "no" to Mr. Photographer cum the tour guide.

WORDS OF CAUTION: Make sure you wear suitable shoes when you come visiting as there were endless stairs for you to climb and down, including the Glass Bridge that connects the two villages, which will appear in PART TWO.

VISITING MY FRIEND'S FAMILY WEEKEND HOUSE IN SUNGAI PETANI

15th MAY 2025   ~ After the brunch session and the visit to Penaga Market and the Morning Market in Penang, Puan Suhana and her husband took me to their weekends house located in Kampung Hj.Kudong in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

This was a village house, which was far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A perfect getaway for the weekends or holidays, of a short stay for retirees from the city..

There is a plan for a wedding reception to be held here in October. There is a valid reason for me to come back to this place real soon.
