A LETTER FROM A STUDENT ON TEACHER'S DAY

Dear Miss You-Know-Who-You-Are (since you mentioned you read my blog),

First and the very foremost, thanks a lot for the Teacher's Day present. I did not get many presents on Teacher's Day anymore as I know I am not a popular figure in school. Secondly, thanks also for the very honest and touching letter that you wrote. I finally realize at least there is one kind soul who appreciates my presence there, and you almost had made me read the lines in tears.

FYI, I am using the ready made templates for my blog and have no idea whatsoever what HTML and CSS coding really are. (I did learn learn about HTML once actually, a very long time ago) That should explain the layout that you have to see every time you are reading my post.

With the kind of English you are writing in the letter, I am quite sure you will have no problem with your future plan. I am glad that there are still people who choose the noble profession as their first choice, and I wish you the very best of luck. Except try not to be late anymore as you cannot afford to do that once you become a real teacher later.

Once again, thanks for both the lovely present and the letter. You made Teacher's Day this year more meaningful for me.

GIFT-GIVING TRADITION ON TEACHER'S DAY

"Give, but give until it hurts."
~ Mother Teresa ~

This entry is specifically published to thank all my colleagues and students who have showered me with various gifts on Teacher's Day. Just to let you know, you have made me feel special and I really appreciate what you have done.

Thanks a lot, from the bottom of my heart.

THE CATCH OF THE DAY

I saw two bags placed on my table when I arrived at school. I just could not wait to go home so I could take out the contents of those bags. The first one was from Ng Ching Kai (of 2KP1) and his family, a bag which came together with layer cake, cookies, Hari Raya card and money envelopes.

The other one contained a box of home-made cookies from Puan Noraliza Mazni. I had to remind myself repeatedly that I had to wait for Hari Raya in about a week's time and then only I can open the container and savour the rich chocolaty cookies.

Thanks a lot again to both Ching Kai and Puan Noraliza for their kind thoughts.

CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER DAY

I just cannot wait another day to post this entry, or else it will not be that exciting. Anyway, I will make it as short and sweet as possible. My Eid celebration is like Christmas in a way because I receive present from friends.

before

My Chinese friends are the regular present givers and it has been like a tradition. I really appreciate the kind thoughts and the generosity, and pray that I will be able to return your kindness for the coming Chinese New Year.

after

It used to be very big hampers before but nowadays I have been getting real presents which are more long lasting. I get a Corningware casserole this time, YEAY!!

And as usual, it is accompanied with a beautiful greeting card. Thank you my friends! As Mother Theresa once said, "If you cannot feed a hundred people on this Earth, then just feed one".

Selamat Hari Raya again everyone, this time it is for real.
