GETTING TO KNOW KING SEJONG AND ADMIRAL YI SUNSHIN

hail to the new king

After looking at the two gargantuan statues, in this museum, visitors would get two know two historical figures of Seoul better - King Sejong and Admiral Yi Sunshin.

King Sejong is known for his contribution to the development of the country . On the other hand, Admiral Yi Sunshin is praised for his intelligence and bravery in defending Korea from a Japanese attack on sea long, long time ago.

fans are everywhere

The museum was a very interesting place to visit. Other than looking at the exhibits pun on display, the visitors could be engaged in some activities and games. That is how a museum should be - educational and interactive.

Trying writing my name in Korean on a piece of rice paper using a brush and ink. The vertical one is my name in Korean script while the horizontal text is "MALAYSIA".

ROAMING GWANGHWAMUN SQUARE LIKE OTHER TOURISTS DO

6th June 2015 ~ This is one of the tourists' attractions in Seoul, actually located just outside Gyeongbokdung Palace main gate. There are two giant statues of King Sejong the Great and Admiral Yi Sunshin. People come here basically to get themselves photographed with these two giant figures. There was also a museum, which we went to visit shortly after that. There was also a booth where visitors could wear the traditional Korean Hanbok for FREE but you  have to register first to get your turn modeling the costume and I missed that opportunity.

There was an entrance to a museum under the gigantic King Sejong statue and we found it by accident.
