ROAMING ON THE STREET OF GILI TRAWANGAN - PART THREE

After the "cidomo" ride, we just went to for a stroll on the long stretch of street along the beach. Basically there were villas and accommodation, shops and restaurants - mainly to cater to the needs of the visitor to the island. Gili Trawangan is the hub of water activities like snorkeling and diving for people who are more adventurous.

We headed back to the main island before lunch time and the journey back on the speedboat was more bumpy and a hell of a roller coaster ride.

GILI TRAWANGAN PART 2 - OMBAK SUNSET BEACH

The "cidomo"[horse cart] stopped at this beach called Ombak Sunset. It should be the place for people to sit and wait for the sunset but we were there in the morning so we had to let go of the sun set viewing activity.

that is actually a swing

I want to touch a horse.

We could not stay too long. The weather was way too hot and I had had the tan enough for my skin.

SAILING TO GILI TRAWANGAN - PART ONE

18th March 2015 ~ On the second day of the Lombok getaway,we decided to sail to Gili Trawangan, a smaller holiday island opposite the main island of Lombok. We took the speed boat which was much faster but of course, more expensive.

Gili Trawangan would be the commercialized area Lombok solely for tourism. The place was swarmed with tourists, mostly westerners (or Caucasians) so do expect things to be more pricey here. We first went exploring on the island on "cidomo"- the small cart pulled by a small horse. The cart would be quite small for people who are tall and it was a challenge to be in one for meas I need to make sure my head would not knock the cart roof.
