THE FIRST DAY FOR 2014 SCHOOL SESSION STARTED TODAY

My endless gratitude to Allah the Almighty and Merciful for the good weather both in the afternoon and in the evening. The day was in fact very cloudy but the first day of school went on well without a hitch. 1150 students and 62 teachers came back for the new school session in the afternoon for the year 2014.

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR 2013

Wednesday, 2nd January ~ The school session for the year 2013 started today. Alhamdulillah (Thank God) for the bright sunny weather which had enabled us to manage the remove, form one and two students, which should be more than 1100 people, before they were sent into their respective classrooms. There were also very few new students who came to register today so there was not much stress on the first day of work.

For the remove and form one students, the Orientation Week started today. Nevertheless, it started to rain after 5 o'clock so we had to modify the timetable so at least half of the students could still listen to the briefing given in the school hall and library.

It was a wet evening when the school was dismissed but it was a great first day of school for everybody. One day had gone, and many many more days to come.

and I'm feeling good."

THE FIRST SCHOOL DAY FOR 2012

The first day of school started today. I was waiting in eager anticipation for this day to arrive, hoping for the best but preparing for the worse. Here's the report in brief (too tired to write a longer one):

[Thanks again to Puan Yasirah for all the pictures I copied from her FB album.]

GROUP 1: briefing at the school hall

agroup 2: briefing at the library

GROUP 3: getting textbooks from the BOSS room

a short meeting with form two boys after the prayer

briefing on general matters for all the students

finally, time to go home

The weather was good. Not many parents came for late registration. The orientation programme for the new students went well. It was a great day to start the school session. It was a bit tiring to start working again after the break but I was happy that things went smoothly without a hitch.

I need to hit the sack and get ready for another school day tomorrow. Pray I can wake up early.

It was the first day of school for this year. The form two students were excited to know their new classes. The form one and remove students were more excited as this would be their first day of a new phase in their lives. Having more than 1200 students is not something easy so we had to make sure that students could be placed into their classrooms in an orderly manner. Thank God for the good weather and the cooperation from all the teachers, everything went smoothly. There were even very few late registration cases and students transferring from other schools this year, the least so far of all my many years here. This is just the beginning and let's hope for many more happy days in school.
