EVERLAND PART 7 - THE ROSE GARDEN

"As you walk down the fairway of life,
you must smell the roses,
for you get to play only one round."
~ Ben Hogan ~

After the Four Seasons Garden, unfold right before my very eyes was the mesmerizing Rose Garden. The last time I saw roses in abundance was during my visit to New Zealand in December 2013. So this theme park provides different types of amusement to people. For those who do not like extreme roller coaster rides, then this should be the place to spend time at.

So that wraps up my entire almost one-day stay at Everland, Seoul. You might want to include this theme park in your itinerary if you are planning to go Seoul. It might be a bit expensive but is worth every single Won spent.

THE ROSE GARDEN OF CHRISTCHURCH

The Rose Garden was inside the Christchurch Botanic Gardens. It was much smaller than the ones I visited in Palmerston North and Wellington. Nevertheless, the bright colours, delicate texture and fragrant petals did not fail to amaze me. I was happier here because I could get my photos taken among the flowers that bloomed in summer. Here, happiness was defined in a different and simpler way. Let the pictures do the talking while I reminisced the pleasant moment I had had there in the Rose Garden.

"When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In the spring becomes the rose"

LADY NORFOLK ROSE GARDEN

the rose garden seen from a higher level

To conclude my tour to Wellington Botanic Garden was the visit to Lady Norfolk Rose Garden that was situated at the foot of the hill. It sure was a major attraction as busloads of tourists could be seen roaming around the garden, either taking photos of themselves with the flowers or just the flowers. Although I had been to the rose garden in Palmerston North which was much bigger than this, I was still impressed with the beauty of the roses.

I could not stay that long there as it was getting hotter - and I had promised to see someone right after that. And I came across this "Peace Garden" which was located just across the entrance to Lady Norfolk Rose Garden. There was a pond with a small waterfall (which could be an artificial one) and should symbolize something, hence the name. Please google about it on your own.
