THE SUNDAY MORNING MARKET IN IPOH

27th AUGUST 2023    ~ There was also a Sunday Morning Market held in the heart of the city. I was there quite early when there were still not many people roaming the streets where the stalls had been set up along the left and right of the road sides.

One could find a variety of items put on sale, and there were things that could not be found in the Night Market I visited a few hours before. [READ HERE]

One of the attractions of the Sunday Market was one could find second hand items as well as antiques - definitely the place for collectors.

In about half an hour the place was already filled with both the locals and visitors alike. The touristy vibe could be felt in the air.

The market was big and should provide a good spot for a morning walk. Unfortunately, there was nothing that I was attracted to but I was glad I was here. One place you could consider going to if you are in Ipoh in the morning on Sunday.

THE SUNDAY MORNING MARKET AT LOSARI BEACH

15TH OCTOBER 2017 ~ At one corner of Losari Beach, there was a Sunday morning market, but not selling fish or vegetables. There were a lot of people visiting the place and I was tempted to try the local food for breakfast but did not do that as the hotel provided a variety of food choices in the morning.

this should be some kind of fruit

I was looking for any strange items being sold but could not find any. And I did not buy anything at all here.

WHEN LOSARI BEACH BECAME SO MUCH ALIVE ON SUNDAY MORNING

15th OCTOBER 2017 ~ As I had been told by my guide, Losari Beach would be crowded on Sunday morning. When I thought I was early, many people were already there much earlier. There were already people on the street and waterfront.

Who let the snakes out?

This time I ventured further to the newly built bridge opposite Losari Beach, as I saw many people walking/running there. There was also a reclaimed land where a huge building was still under construction. That is going to be some sort of a trade centre if I am not mistaken.

I was there to enjoy the view as I was practically standing on the ocean.

Then I found a row of stationary and beautifully decorated vehicles on the bridge. The floats were there because there would be some sort of procession to celebrate an event for Southern Sulawesi.

There was also another event - a launching of a (government) programme where there were people walking on the streets in a huge number.

If you can't lead, then you follow.

I guess Sunday morning was definitely not the opportunity to spend longer time in bed.
