IT'S PING PONG TIME AGAIN

After years of no ping pong session, it was time to start getting involved in sports again. The shoes were the evidence of how sports items and other things as well were badly damaged after not being used for a long time.

I play ping pong for fun and to spend my leisure time, definitely not eligible for any competition.

Thanks Mr. Farhan Hamidi, an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, for inviting me to come over to his studio to play ping pong in the afternoon, just like last time.

We should do this more often in the future.

IT'S TIME TO GET SPORTY AGAIN

3rd December 2015 ~ I could not even remember when was the last time I came to this Sports Complex in UTM to play ping pong. Fortunately, some people were free to play in the afternoon and I definitely needed some kind of exercise with the hope to lose a little weight.

After 2 hours, I really felt that I was thinner so we went to get something to eat right after that.

SUDDENLY I AM A SPORTSMAN AGAIN

When was the last time I was involved actively in any sports activities? I think it was ONE YEAR AGO. *sigh* However, today I managed to set foot one more time in UTM Sports Complex to play ping pong with an ex-student, Mr. Amirul a.k.a Synchro Starz. :)

The original plan was to start playing yesterday but the sports complex was not opened. So we ended up chit-chatting at KFC Taman Universiti, discussing strategies and getting tips from Mr. Amirul on how to get slimmer in such a short time.

I need to have the discipline and determination to be active regularly. As for now, I will need to go to the pharmacy to buy Yoko Yoko. May Allah give me the strength, and health, to continue playing tomorrow.

I PING, YOU PONG

Many people think that ping pong originated from China, especially when many ping pong champions come from that country. However, from the articles that I read on the internet, the game actually came from England.

Do you know that ping pong got its name actually from the sounds that are produced when the ball is hit by the players' bats, back and forth? I first heard about this from a student's oral presentation in class and to see that he was not bluffing, I checked the internet and it is actually true. Isn't truth stranger than fiction? :)

The students from Electrical Engineering faculty cum ping pong buddies

My ping pong session has started when I found the right people who share the same interest, and thank God for that. It is not easy to get friends to play with. The reasons: they play other games like badminton or futsal, and not ping pong, they have to do other important things or they just don't play any games at all during their free time.

By now, I feel healthier and slimmer. Too bad, this weekend will be Idul Adha so people will be busy celebrating and eating more than they should [including me]. And by the next ping pong session, I will grow fat already but I will always be looking forward to it.

I will try to write about the benefits of playing ping pong one of these days so that people will see why it is a good game to play.

IT WAS PING PONG TIME AGAIN

The last time I played ping pong was like a month ago. I should be in school this Saturday afternoon as there was still work to be done. However, the temptation to be able to swing and smash was so great that I had to leave everything behind. I had fun for sure and now am already looking forward for another ping pong session soon, or is it tomorrow?

LET'S PING PONG

I need a new pair of sports shoes

One my favourite pastimes, playing ping pong. I could not remember when was the last time I played the game. I stopped because of certain reasons: unable to find people to play with and to get a good place with a good ping pong table. So today, I took out my ping pong bat and sports shoes which were covered with cobweb and made a comeback. Suhaizie, Syahir and I played at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia's Sports Centre which definitely is a good venue.

So we played from 2:00 - 5:oo p.m. and after three hours, I now feel healthier and slimmer. We are going to play again tomorrow so just hope there will be not so much of aching muscles when I wake up tomorrow morning.
