We had to make our way back to Queenstown before it got dark. I did not fancy sitting in a car driven on a long and winding mountainous road at night when the surrounding was just real darkness. Nevertheless, you would sure enjoy the breathtaking view outside on a bright sunny day, even before you reach Glonerchy.

GLENORCHY - THE GETAWAY TO PARADISE
Glenorchy is a scenic small town located about 45-minutes drive away from Queenstown. This place is well-known for its spectacular beauty and many movies were shot here such as "Lord of the Rings", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", "Vertical Limit" and "The Chronicles of Narnia". I am sure there should more beautiful spots at this place but we did not explore much when we were there as it was already late.

DRIVING AROUND QUEENSTOWN AND BEYOND
2nd December 2013 ~ We rented a car on the second day in Queenstown so we could venture out a bit. The places visited were Arrowtown and Glenorchy on Monday, and we went to Wanaka the next day. Mr. Hamzah was driving all the time (THANK YOU!), the roads were going uphill and downhill most of the time, and winding too. The weather was a bit too hot on those two days. But I was always happy to see the sun and the blue sky. We stopped a few times to take photos of the lakes and the mountains, we never got tired of doing that, and sometimes I just snapped the photos from inside the moving car. I wonder if you have grown bored looking at almost the same photos every time.
There's a video at the bottom part of this entry. Hope you will like it.
