HOTEL REVIEW: B2 HOTEL, CHIANG RAI

There are actually two B2 hotels in Chiang Rai town. The first one is located at the night market area while the second one, where I stayed, is located not too far away from the first one. There was a blessing though for (mistakenly) choosing this one as I managed to find a mosque and a market during my exploration of the town.

I must say the rate is very reasonable, especially when the room is very spacious. What more, the town is just within a walking distance. However, if you ask the counter staff, they would suggest you to take a taxi.

There is nothing to complain and I would recommend this place to people who are visiting Chiang Rai in the future.

MAE FAH LUANG - CHIANG RAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This was the airport that greeted me upon arrival in Chiang Rai. It was just a small airport but I think it has seen a steady flow of tourists into the city.

I was there once as I took a bus to get to Chiang Mai after my stay in Chiang Rai.

THE HALL OF INSPIRATION

17th December 2015 ~ The Hall of Inspiration is a museum as a tribute to the present King as well as other royal family members such as the Princess Mother. The focus is put on the hard work and contribution the people from the palace to bring development to the nation.

The place was not as popular as the Royal Villa and the Garden. I was almost the only person around reading the writings on the walls. There were other visitors but they just seemed to walk through the hall without even looking at the displays.

That wraps up my 3D2N stay in Chiang Rai. I would recommend Chiang Rai if you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and get yourself closer with nature and the history, culture and geography of Thailand.

THE FLOWERS IN DOI TUNG GARDEN

Some of the flowers captured on my compact digital camera during the visit to Doi Tung Garden. Glad that the pics turned out well despite the thick fog surrounding the place.
