6th DECEMBER 2016 ~ Wat Xieng Thong, which means "Monastery of the Golden City", is one of the most significant Buddhist temples Luang Prabang . It was built back in 1560 and is still standing strong and preserves the traditional architecture of the place - especially the three tiers low roofs.
As this is a prominent landmark of the town, one's visit would not be complete without stopping by at this place.
