GOING KOREAN FOR DINNER AT SHAH ALAM

7th AUGUST 2026    ~ There was no specific plan for the gastronomic adventure is Shah Alam. We ended up going Korean in Dubuyo in Plaza Shah Alam which was just beside the hotel where we were staying.

There were not many people in the mall and only one or two tables in the restaurant were occupied.

We both had a big bowl of seafood noodles that came together with three types of kimchi. I think the dish was called Buldak Boomyeon.

I couldn't remember when I last had Korean food. Guess I will have to visit my favourite Korean restaurant in Johor Bahru one day.

GOING KOREAN FOR LUNCH

4th DECEMBER 2020 ~ Someone wanted to go Korean for lunch so we met up at Dubuyo at Paradigm Mall.

So we ordered the rice set with the seafood spicy soap and Bulgogi beef, and the most importantly the free flow of Kimchi.

To conclude the scrumptious meal, a [big] bowl of needles was brought to the table.

That was one huge lunch we had for the day. Thanks Mr. Razib Mohd. Noor, my ex-SMS Muar schoolmate, for the lunch date, so it would be my turn to host next time.

MY HOMETOWN GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE - PARADIGM MALL REVISITED

When life got too stressful at workplace, what better way would it be to be sane again? Eat and get fatter. The regular group of friends who enjoyed eating (and chatting) met again and this time at Paradigm Mall. I am happy to announce that we managed to get other people to sign up for the club membership.

First we went Korean at Dubuyo for a very late lunch. It was my second time at this restaurant and the first one was at a different venue in AEON Bandar Dato' Onn.

Then we decided to complement the Korean meal with cakes and coffee/tea/hot chocolate/Milo at Secret Recipe.

We were tempted by the aroma of the Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart which just taken out of the oven from the shop just next door so we bought home some too. Then only we felt complete and left the mall, feeling happy - very happy indeed.

Was this the last gathering of the year, I wonder?

GOING KOREAN FOR A LATE LUNCH AFTER SCHOOL

We suddenly decided to go Korean for a late lunch right after school. Last minute plan sometimes worked well. We made our way to AEON Bandar Dato' Onn as there is this Korean restaurant named Dubuyo.

Puan Mazzelina Mahmood and Puan Rumaiah Hasan always live up to the group's motto: "If you want to get fat, let's get fat together".

MY VERDICT: I don't have much experience eating Korean food, but they tasted Korean enough to me. I loved all the food ordered and served on the table even though I did not remember all their names (except the peach tea drink). This was my first time here but definitely NOT the last one.

I will have to visit Korea, the country, again one more time.
