ATTENDING THE WEDDING RECEPTION OF THE DAUGHTER OF PUAN ZALILAH IBRAHIM

Puan Zalilah Ibrahim, an ex-colleague of SMK Taman Universiti, invited me to the wedding reception of her daughter, Ms. Hamizah Solehah Hushin. The venue was at Raja Zarith Sofia Library, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

The groom was also an ex-student of my English tuition class when she was in Form Five a long time ago.

It was a huge relief to see a familiar face in the hall after getting my food from the buffet table. Then I saw more and more other people whom I recognized.

Then there were Puan Hamidah Mokhtar, an ex-colleague of SMK Taman Universiti, with her husband and son.

Next, I met Puan Sharifah Abu Bakar, an ex-colleague of SMK Gelang Patah. We were there in 1993/94.

There were two ex-students: Miss Khadijah whom is an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, and Miss Amirah Mohd. Pauzi, also an ex-student of my English tuition class last time. She and the bride attended the same school, Sekolah Menengah Islam Hidayah.

Thanks to Puan Zalilah for inviting me to the reception despite the fact that we only now belong to one Whatsapp Group of the Teacher Alumni of SMK Taman Universiti. I really appreciate her kind gesture.

THE LAST MEETING WITH THE FORM 3 CLASS AT ASRAMA SEMAI BAKTI FELDA

15TH NOVEMBER 2015 ~ This was the last get-together with my form 3 English class at Asrama Semai Bakti Felda. I was with them for 10 months and now that the PT3 was over, that was the end of my coaching sessions.

Wishing them the very best of luck, no matter where they will be after this. It has been a pleasant experience to teach another batch of form 3 students at the hostel. May we see each other again (outside the classroom) next year.

MY LAST CLASSES WITH ASRAMA SEMAI BAKTI STUDENTS

Today was the last day I had classes with 20 students of Asrama Semai Bakti Felda. The classes began in January and they were coming to the end already as the PMR examination will start next Tuesday.

GROUP 3A1 AGAIN

I was asked to teach three groups of form three students at Felda's Semai Bakti Hostel, starting the month of April or May. So today was the last day to have a meeting with them before the PMR examination starts this Tuesday.

I wish them the very best of luck in the coming exam as well as their future undertakings. And if Allah permits, we will see each other again some other time.

JUST A BUNCH OF NOISY STUDENTS

I decided to have my tuition class for my form 5 students during the day as I need the night time for the tarawikh prayer. As a result, two sessions of a 4-hours stretch had to be done. Surprisingly, no one fell asleep during the whole class and we just focused on the novel section, and everything had been covered thoroughly. So, I hope they can get high marks from this particular section for the upcoming exam. Something has to be done to award them for their determination to come to class for half a day during the fasting month. Isn't taking photographs everyone's favourite pastime nowadays?
