SHANGHAI DAY 1 - VISITING SHANGHAI HISTORY MUSEUM

Five excited tourists and one excited tourist guide went into Shanghai History Museum to see Shanghai in the past. Shanghai has developed from an agricultural land in the past century into one of the busiest metropolitan cities of the world today before being colonized by the British at one time, and everything was vividly depicted in the exhibits found in the galleries.

From here, people who wish to go up the Oriental Pearl Tower will have to take the elevator while the museum visitors will walk down the stairs.

They also had very sweet staff dressed in red to welcome the visitors at the entrance of the building. I don't mind going back to the museum again.

Every time when I visit a museum abroad, I always wonder when are we going to have a world-class museum in our country.

SHANGHAI DAY 1 - OUTSIDE THE SHANGHAI HISTORY MUSEUM

30th May, 2013 ~ The weather was a bit unkind when we arrived in Shanghai. It rained and it had been raining almost everyday when we were there. We had to change our initial plan so the first place we went to was the Shanghai History Museum. The building was located below the Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower, which is the 5th tallest communication tower in the world.

This place is located in Pudong area where there are many skyscrapers around. The photography session started much earlier before we entered the museum. Just imagine six tourists with six cameras clicking away excitedly and the good news was that there were not many people at that time so nobody would notice us (hopefully).

OMG! There's a green snake.
