STAYING THE NIGHT AT TUNE KLIA2 AEROPOLIS HOTEL

16th DECEMBER 2018 ~ Another Tune Hotel near to KLIA2 Airport is the Tune Aeropolis, which is 15-20-minute distance away by car. If you do not have your own transport, free shuttle is provided by the hotel which commutes on hourly basis to the airport and fro. This hotel is cheaper than the Tune Transit Hotel which is attached to the airport building.

However, this place provides the minimum facilities and the room is very small indeed. How minimum, you may ask? The room I was staying was not equipped with a television set, my first time ever. For Muslims, you might have problems performing your prayers unless you want to do it on the bed as there is no space at all to accommodate. There is a musolla/praying room on the basement floor though.

I wonder if this is the first Tune Hotel operating in the country. It is located very near to the old KLIA2 LCCT Airport.

If you are here just to spend the night sleeping while waiting for the time to go out again the next day, then this hotel should be alright for you.

MY KL GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE - MAKAN RESTAURANT AT TUNE KLIA2 TRANSIT HOTEL

16th DECEMBER 2018 ~ I was actually eligible for the dinner buffet but I would be checking out in just less than 2 hours after checking in at 8:00 a.m. The receptionist was really kind to take me to Makan Restaurant and helped me to get my breakfast instead. The experience of booking the room at Tune KLIA2 Hotel but at the wrong time was not that bad after all. [READ HERE]

The place was spacious but still there were people crowding the area the morning I was there. There were varieties of food to select but it terms of taste, there was still a lot to improve especially the local spread for breakfast.

I was happy anyway at least I had the chance to have breakfast there once. I have doubt I will be staying at this hotel again in the future.

STAYING AT TUNE KLIA2 TRANSIT HOTEL (FOR A FEW HOURS)

Contrary to other hotels, Tune KLIA2 Transit Hotel is a hotel which accommodates people who want to have a short transit during DAY TIME, as if there is no one who needs to stay overnight to wait for his/her plane the next day. If you still decide to spend a night at this hotel, then the rate is higher than the day stay.

I made a mistake buying a room here as I found the website was quite confusing. Many people have also made the same mistake as I read about this in one traveling group in Facebook. As there was no way for me to get refunded, I still checked in in the morning [16th December 2018] and stayed the room like for about one hour and a half, and then checked out. This should be a record of the shortest hotel stay ever for me. And I got to eat breakfast at the hotel's cafe too. [READ HERE]

The hotel was convenient as it is attached to the KLIA2 building and within walking distance, which should be a good choice if you want less hassle. However, there is another Tune Hotel slightly further away which offered a cheaper rate. Read about this hotel later in my blog.

HOTEL REVIEW - TUNE HOTEL DOWNTOWN KUALA LUMPUR

While I was clearing away my Picture Folder, I found these few pictures that should have made their way into my blog a long time ago. It is never too late to do so. I stayed at this hotel twice last year when I taught UTM SPACE programme in KL. I chose Tune Hotel Downtown KL, which is located at Jalan Sultan Ismail, as (1) the price was reasonable, and (2) it had easy access to LRT for me to move TBS bus terminal - UTM SPACE building - hotel. It should be a good place if you do not plan to stay long in the hotel room, especially for people traveling and working. If you book earlier, you will get a cheaper rate too.

The room was quite small but still it was very clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay if I need to stay in KL next time.
