MAIMUN PALACE IN MEDAN CITY

1ST FEBRUARY 2017 ~ Once we reached Medan city, we went to visit one of the main attractions, Maimun Palace. The building reminded me so much of Kampung Glam Palace in Singapore.

This was just a small museum with a small collection of historical exhibits on display. The main activity here was to put on the royal traditional costumes and get your photos taken, with a small sum of money paid to the operator of the service.

My trip to Medan has come to its end, after arriving here on the 29th January. Thanks a lot to Mr. Ikhram Mukhriz, my ex-student who is studying here, for being a tourist guide throughout our stay. And I managed to meet up with my ex-classmate from SMS Muar, who is currently working in Medan, Mr. Ahmad Fadillah Md. Aris. Too bad all the good time doesn't last but I sure have enjoyed my first trip to Sumatera Island.
