PERFORMING FOR ANOTHER UTM SPACE AWARD CEREMONY FOR FRANCHISE PROGRAMME

25TH OCTOBER 2015 ~ Right after the UTM SPACE award ceremony at "Rumah Alumni" that ended at about 5:00 p.m., we had to quickly make our way to another venue, the Banquet Hall at Chancellor Building, for another award ceremony. This time it was for UTM SPACE franchise programme.

We just had a short practice, changed into our "Baju Melayu" after the Maghrib prayer at the mosque and were ready for the next show by 8:00 p.m.

We were lucky indeed to be able to perform at three different events organized by UTM SPACE in conjunctions with the university's convocation ceremony. We would like again to thank Prof. Dr. Mohd. Fua'ad Rahmat for giving us the opportunity to be there and may the audience had been entertained by our presence.

SMKTUN ANGKLUNG GROUP'S SECOND PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR

10th October 2015 ~ SMKTUN's Angklung Group was invited to perform during the closing ceremony of "Islamic Seminar on Science and Technology" organized by Kolej Tun Hussein Onn, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The event was held at the Banquet Hall of "Censeleri Building" at 2:30 p.m.

I was more than happy to see two ex-students who were there. They were Mr. Azizul Azman (from SPM batch 2002) and Miss Mastura (from SPM batch 2006). Mr. Azizul is one of the fellows of the residential college while Miss Mastura is continuing her Master degree and should be a senior student there.

We had about two weeks to practice intensively as we chose 2 songs that had not been done for public while the other song had been performed in the last show. Anyhow, the early practice which started in February had helped a lot.

We hope that we have entertained the audience during the ceremony. For one thing, it has been one valuable experience for the group members.

I have to personally thank Miss Mastura for recommending us to the committee and hopefully, we will be invited again in the future.
