THE DISPLAY AT AUCKLAND ART GALLERY - PART TWO

Here are a few more masterpieces on display at Auckland Art Gallery. For your information, visitors are allowed to take as many photos as they want, unless there is a sign prohibiting in certain sections (but I could not remember seeing any). As long as the photos taken are not for commercial purposes, you could snap the photos of everything under the gallery's roof.

The gallery was a huge place and I think, I must have missed some of the exhibits but I was still happy after spending almost two hours there.

THE DISPLAY AT AUCKLAND ART GALLERY - PART ONE

These are some of the work of art that I liked or found amusing at Auckland Art Gallery. I always envy people who are good in art. I used to like art when I was in school but I guess I am not artistic enough or perhaps students during my time were not exposed/taught the real way to draw and paint so it was solely talent that would make you a good artist. Last time, it would always be water colour when we were in Art classes.

I hope these pictures could give some people who are doing Art in school now some ideas or inspiration for their work.

More pictures in Part Two later.

AUCKLAND ART GALLERY

6th DECEMBER 2013 ~ This was the first building that I visited during my stay in Auckland and the good news was that it was free entry. Even though I am not that artsy-fartsy kind of person, it was still a good experience to see all the paintings, sculptures and exhibits. A few were quite straightforward but most of them were just too abstract and complicated for a layman like me.
