ATTENDING THE SECOND WEDDING RECEPTION OF PUAN ZAKIAH'S FAMILY

Puan Zakiah Abdullah, an ex-colleague of SMK Taman Universiti, held the second wedding reception for the family. This time it was Mr. Idris Ebi Shahrin's turn, and he also attended the same school as her mother.

As usual, another mini reunion happened with ex-colleagues and ex-students. The wedding event was Bizmilla Hall at Eko Botanic, somewhere in Gelang Patah.

Congratulations to Puan Zakiah and family on the arrival of a new female member. Wishing the newlyweds a blessed and joyous marriage filled with love and laughter.

ATTENDING THE FIRST WEDDING RECEPTION ON SUNDAY IN JOHOR

The state of Johor has changed its weekends holiday from Friday/Saturday to Saturday/Sunday starting 2025 after 10 years. All this while, wedding receptions were held on Saturday and today was the first reception attended on Sunday.

It was the wedding reception of the son of Mr. Suhaimi Hashim, the Senior Assistant of SMK Taman Universiiti and Puan Huzaimah Zakaria, an English teacher of SMK Gelang Patah, who marked PMR Exam English paper with me last time.

I was greeted by Mr. Suhaizal Hashim, an ex-teacher of SMK Taman Universiti, who is the younger brother of the groom's father.

The venue was at Bizmilla Wedding Hall in Eco Botanic. I was there at about 2:30 p.m. and was still expecting to see friends from school to be in the hall.

Since there were many people whom I met there [not all I took photos with], I spent longer time at the reception.

Congratulations to Mr. Suhaimai and Puan Huzaimah on the arrival of the new daughter-in-law and may we meet again in other receptions in the future.

There will be more receptions to attend next week and the week after next, and next month too. 😀

A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT A CAFE IN ECO BOTANIK

I contacted an ex-colleague [of SMK Taman Universiti], Puan Rokiah Junog, asking whether it was possible to meet up for coffee for her birthday which was today. I was lucky as her husband, Mr. Abdul Rahman, was also on leave so a quick date was set in the afternoon at 3:00.

The chosen venue was Manzanita Cafe in Eco Botanik which I had visited once before this. [READ HERE]

The arrival of the cake and the singing staff came as a surprise for Puan Rokiah. Hopefully she had one birthday to remember for a very long time.

THE COFFEE SESSION AFTER THE WEDDING RECEPTION

20TH JANUARY 2024 ~ A coffee session was planned with four other friends/ex-colleagues of SMK Taman Universiti after attending a wedding reception in Eco Botani [READ HERE]. The chosen cafe was Manzanita which was very near to the wedding venue. My first visit to Manzanita was the one located in Paradigm Mall.

Good coffee and pastries, and a place with an awesome ambience for people to eat, drink and chat. And there is a spot for photoshoot too.

We had to go our separate ways before it got dark and hopefully we could do this again some other time soon.
