VISITING THREE FACTORY OUTLETS IN BATAM IN ONE DAY

25th JANUARY 2020 ~ One of the major changes that I saw in Batam after nine years, there were more factory outlets now. This should be good news for people who wanted to go to the island to spend their free time and money.

We managed to stop by at three outlets: Golden Factory Outlet, Batik Factory Outlet and 1st Factory Outlet. However, we did not buy even a single thing so it was primarily window shopping at its best.

If you have extra money to spent, then perhaps Batam should be a good option for your shopping getaway.

AND THE HUNT FOR THE BATIK SHIRT CONTINUED

16th September 2016 ~ I could not get the batik shirt I wanted from the outlets at Jalan Aceh. The guide seemed unhappy with that, so he took us to a shopping mall at Jalan Sukajadi called Bandung Indah Plaza. We went to this Matahari emporium where there were a bigger variety of batik shirts on display.

if the shirt fits...
Finally, I got what I wanted, a more contemporary Indonesian batik which was not too Indonesian. Actually there was another one which I really liked but the size I wanted was not available. It is always like that when it comes to shopping for clothes or shoes. So I had to settle for this purple batik.

Opposite the Bandung Indah Plaza, there is another factory outlet. There seems to be a lot factory outlets everywhere in Bandung. That is why Bandung has become a shopping haven for many Malaysians.

THE FACTORY OUTLETS ALONG JALAN RIAU IN BANDUNG

16th September 2016 ~ I asked to be taken to the factory outlets along Jalan Riau because TWO YEARS AGO I managed to buy a beautiful batik shirt at a very cheap price there. I even managed to spot the same old shop where the shirt was purchased. Guess what? Of course they did not have the same kind of cloth anymore after two long years.

There are too many factory outlets on the right and left side of the road. This is definitely the place to avoid if you are visiting Bandung with women as the possible damage that could be done would be beyond imagination. You have been warned!
