THE AQUARIUM - OSAKA KAIYUKAN [PART 2]

18th MARCH 2017 ~ So we basically spent more hours walking around the huge aquarium, observing the fish and other marine creatures. There were too many people visiting the place when we were there (they were having long weekends at that time) so we had to squeeze through the crowd at times to get a better view of the sea creatures.

One section of the aquarium was the petting zoo where visitors were allowed to touch the fish in the water like the sharks and stingrays.

As I do not snorkel or scuba dive, this should be the best thing to do to enjoy what the deep blue sea has to offer - and I don't mind going to other aquariums if I have the chance.

KAIYUKAN - OSAKA AQUARIUM [PART 1]

18th MARCH 2017 ~ This was another fun visit to the aquarium. I must say I have visited a few aquariums during my visits to other countries such as Gold Coast (Australia) and Bangkok (Thailand) as well as the local aquariums in KLCC, Langkawi and the latest one in Melaka.

Here are some interesting facts about Kaiyukan (in point forms):
  • It is one of the largest public aquariums in the world.
  • The aquarium projected the theme of the environment of the Pacific Rim.
  • There are 30 000 marine creatures from 620 species being exhibited and were not limited to just fish, but there were also varieties of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and marines invertebrates.

If you have your Osaka Amazing Pass, you would get 100 yen discount for the entrance tickets.

This was a big place to walk around so we had to spent long hours here.

This is only the introduction chapter. There will be many more photos of the aquarium later.
