PM RESIDENCE - THE HOTEL IN HATYAI

We stayed at PM Residence Hotel in Hatyai from the 22nd - 24th November 2024. It was not exactly in the city centre but it was alright as the place was not busy and noisy.

The room was spacious and the price was reasonable, and personally I considered it to be cheap.

The hotel did not only provide bottled mineral water, but there were also snacks and carbonated drinks that were replenished daily.

I could also see Central Mall from my balcony. The car was parked at the hotel and we just used Grab Car to move around Hatyai as all the places were not that far.

There were staff who could converse in Malay Language at the reception so there was no communication barrier.

It was a pleasant stay at PM Residence and I have nothing to complain. I might consider coming back to this place when I visit Hatyai again.

For one thing, the hotels in Hatyai try to provide the best service to the guests as the competition is high. Many Malaysians choose to go to Southern Thailand as the hotel prices are comparatively cheaper than the hotels at home.

THE LAST LUNCH OF THE SOUTHERN THAILAND ROAD TRIP

24TH NOVEMBER 2024    ~ Before heading to the Immigration Checkpoint in Ban Prakob [Thailand's side] and Durian Burong [Malaysia's side], we had the very last gastronomic adventure in Southern Thailand.

It was another seafood fiesta at Coco One Beach Hotel & Restaurant. I will be missing all the delicious seafood meal [at reasonable prices] in Southern Thailand.

It was time to bid Thailand farewell this time after the 4D3N road trip.

However, there was still one last stop at 7-Eleven in Sakom. The convenient stores were just everywhere.

I guess that should conclude the exciting journey in Thailand. I had to once again thank three friends who had been tirelessly providing us endless information which was very helpful in many ways: Puan Suhana Abdul Jamal and Puan Sharon Taty Mokhtar [UPM TESL Class of 1993 friends] who are residing in Sungai Petani and Changlun respectively, as well as Mr. Asrul Nizam, the seasoned and experienced rider around Thailand.
Thanks also to Mr. Ridwan Wahid and Puan Suhaila Sulang who had invited me to hop into their car for the road trip.

I still have a lot of extra Baht in hand so there is always a possibility to be back again in the future.

COCO ONE BEACH HOTEL AND RESTAURANT IN SAKOM

24th NOVEMBER 2024    ~ The very last destination of the Southern Thailand road trip was Coco One Beach Hotel and Restaurant in Sakom. This place was recommended by friends because of its picturesque view of the beach and the ocean.

the vibrant coloured entrance

This should be a popular tourist attraction for photographers and people who liked to be photographed. The management had built and provided many photo session spots for the visitors.

There was also a mini water park at the resort.

You could try having you meal here as there is a restaurant operating. You could choose to sit outside or in the air-conditioned room. We opted for the latter for lunch before leaving [READ HERE].

The surau [praying room for Muslims] was big and comfortable too.

Even the space outside the washrooms were beautifully painted and you could always pose for the camera there.

This should be one place to visit when you are in Sakom. You could also opt to stay at the resort and spend more time at the beach, which should be a perfect getaway for families with children.
