AN IFTAR SESSION FOR THE RETIRED PRINCIPAL OF SMK MUTIARA RINI

31st MAY 2017 ~ An "iftar" (break fasting) session was held at Ejohng Restaurant in Taman Sri Pulai Perdana for the retired Principal of SMK Mutiara Rini. Teachers who did not go back to their hometowns during the school break, staff and three other retirees (and ex-teachers of the school) were there to join in the eating session.

It was a very brief session. After everyone had finished their food, a group photo was taken a very short farewell speech was delivered by Puan Hajah Fatimah Abd. Hadi.

Another friend had ended her career as an educationist and as for me, I hope I could still hold on - God please give me strength. :)

A FAREWELL GATHERING FOR THE RETIRING PUAN ALIAH HUSSEIN

18TH NOVEMBER 2016 ~ The teachers of the English Panel of SMK Mutiara Rini gathered on a Friday afternoon at Ehjong Concept in Taman Sri Pulai Perdana to bid farewell to Puan Aliah Hussein, the Afternoon Senior Assistant.

So basically we ate and chatted, and ate again and continue chatting. This was our second time having tea in a big group here. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as the first time we were here.

Puan Aliah was transferred from SMK Taman Universiti early this year and she decided to opt out earlier. Try and guess the reason. There will be like one more week for Puan Aliah to be in school before enjoying her day as a retiree.

And as for me, that will still a long way to go. *sigh*

A LATE LUNCH AND EARLY TEA AT EJOHNG CONCEPT

refreshing lemonade

24TH SEPTEMBER 2016 ~ This week's Saturday was considered a working day. We then had no choice but to entertain ourselves from the sorrow by visiting an eating place. This time, I was introducing the two ladies from the Eat-First-Worry-Later Club to Ehjong Concept for a late lunch but early tea kind of eating style.

salmon something

lamb pizza

Good food, a good place to sit and talk and we went home with happy tummies. The meeting was adjourned at about 4:00 p.m. and we hope to see more people in our next "case studies" session.

A HI-TEA SESSION AT EJOHNG CONCEPT CAFE

The English Panel of SMK Mutiara Rini, Johor Bahru, held a high-tea session at Ejohng Concept Cafe (located at Taman Seri Pulai Perdana) for specially to two teachers. First to bid farewell to Puan Latha who has opted for an early retirement real soon, and also the one who has transferred to SMK Kompleks Sultan Abu Bakar, Puan Lailati.

The food was good and served in abundance until I felt that I might be sick (in a good way) after eating too much.

I am so looking forward to the arrival of fasting month in about two weeks from now.
