EXPLORING MORE OF BUKIT PENYABONG

29th JUNE 2026    ~ While driving downhill from the viewpoint spot on Bukit Penyabong [READ HERE], we found this lowland which was hidden by some trees. My travel buddy decided to stop by and explore a bit.

There was a narrow stretch of beach sheltered by the trees. We spent just a short time here, to admire the scenic view from the sea level this time.

We finally managed to step on the sand of Penyabong Beach. After taking some photos there, it was time to bid Penyabong farewell this time. I don't mind coming back again to this place especially when there are not many people around.

DRIVING UP TO THE MOST POPULAR SPOT IN PENYABONG

29th JUNE 2026       ~ The most popular spot in Penyabong would be Bukit Penyabong, the hill where one could find the best viewpoint of the ocean. Many people posted their photos here on social media, making it one congested space on weekends and public holidays.

We went there after breakfast [READ HERE] and at about 9:00 p.m. on a working day, we had the place all to ourselves. There was a group of 4 young ladies who were there earlier and were busy striking poses in all the strategic places. We decided to wait until they were done so as not to shortlive their excitement.

The drive up the hill was adventurous enough for me as the road was narrow and the ascending trip up the hill was steep. The space to park the car was also very small. I wonder what would happen when there was a large crowd here.

There were just two activities that took place here: [1] Admiring the picturesque view from atop of the hill [2] Taking as many photos as possible. The best time to visit this place was either early in the morning during working days, or else you might have to fight to get the best frame with no one inside the photos.

EXPLORING PENYABONG ONE SUNDAY EVENING - PART TWO

28th JUNE 2026    ~ From the jetty, we then walked towards the park to get to the cape area. The main agenda: to observe sunset and take as many photos as possible.

I was not that sure how was it possible to see the sunset as we were actually located on the east coast. By logic, it should sunrise to be observed, and not the other way around. I guess I need to study the map real close so that I could understand better.

This should be the place for skilled photographers as well as skilled photo editors to capture the scenic panorama of the sun against the sea and the sky.

We had to leave once the sun hid behind the clouds and the place started to turn dark. We unexpectedly had spent more time at this spot and we were glad we did that.

We actually came back to this place the next morning for breakfast. [READ HERE]

every day can end beautifully."
