THE VERY LAST SCHOOL GRADUATION EVENT FOR ME

   13th JANUARY 2024    ~ I did not plan to attend the school graduation even after my retirement but someone kept persuading me to come and I had to agree eventually. The venue chosen was once again New York Hotel and it was another grand ceremony for the form five and form six students of SMK Dato' Jaafar.

It was always a pleasure to get to see ex-colleagues and ex-students one more time.

Guess this should be my very last formal school event, but most probably I would be seeing my ex-colleagues at some other places and time.

   "Once a Jaafarian, always a Jaafarian."   

THE GRADUATION CEREMONY FOR SPM AND STPM CANDIDATES BATCH 2022

The graduation ceremony for SPM and STPM candidates batch 2022 of SMK Dato' Jaafar was held today at New York Hotel.

The event was making a comeback after the C19 pandemic which had stopped all social activities in school.

The students were extremely excited as this should be something for them to remember once they leave school after the public examination.

As for me, this could be my very last school graduation ceremony - depending when they are going to hold the event for this year's students.

After two long years of restrictions for social gatherings, the Graduation Ceremony for form six students of SMK Dato' Jaafar who will be leaving school was back. The event was held in New York Hotel with the usual list of programme.

THE GRADUATION PARTY OF FORM 5 STUDENTS SPM BATCH 2021

31st MARCH 2022 ~ The form 5 students of SPM cohort 2021 of SMK Dato' Jaafar, to my surprise, organized their own graduation party on the last week of the public exam. The school used to hold such event for the school leavers but it could not be done because of the C19 pandemic.

The venue chosen was New York Hotel and the teachers teaching the students of this batch were invited (but we still had to pay 😀). We rushed to the hotel right after school at 2:00 p.m. hoping to eat all the food as we were hungry but there were still all the formal sessions of prayer recitation, the singing of all the state and school songs and the national anthem, plus the speeches. We should have reminded them to make things informal so we could just eat once we arrived. 😀

As usual, there were the performances by the boys and there was even a live band on stage. Nevertheless, I had to leave home earlier.

Congratulations to the alumni of  SMK Dato' Jaafar SPM batch 2021 for the success in organizing such an event - something I did not expect they would be capable of doing. Wishing each and everyone of you the best of luck in your future undertakings.
