A SHORT STOP AT VISION HOMES IN SEREMBAN

22nd AUGUST 2020 ~ For the second stop of the road trip, we had to divert to Seremban 2 to visit a couple of husband-and-wife friends at Vision Homes. I could already see them waiting for us at the gate waiting for our arrival.

As usual, the first agenda of the visit was to eat the special Nasi Lemak that came together with the special chicken curry, which was followed by the signature home-made lemon cake and something that was bought from outside.

Then we went out to see the green mini garden, with the variety of vegetables and flowering and non-flowering plants. There was even a new addition to the landscape which was aquatic plants with swimming guppies inside two bowls.

The visit would not be complete without seeing the three cats: Kiki, Bubu and Jojo.

We could not stay too long as there was a wedding reception to attend right after this. We had to make a move but not after taking more photos inside and outside the house.

Thanks again Mr. Azhar Ahmad and Puan Sakinah Mohd. Ismail [old friends of UPM TESL class of 1993 and 4th Residential College] for welcoming us to your home and hope to see both of you again some other time soon. I will be coming back if the door is opened again for me to visit and eat more delicious food.

AN IMPROMPTU HOUSE VISIT IN SEREMBAN

a vegetables hydroponic project
23rd AUGUST 2019 ~ After the visiting session at Sungai Rambai, Melaka, I realized I still had some time but did not know what to do or where to go. Hence, a decision was made to drive to Vision Homes in Seremban for an impromptu house visit. I knew I would not be turned away when I contacted Puan Sakinah Mohd. Ismail, a friend of UPM TESL class of 1993 as well a 4th collegian mate.

Despite the fact that it was an unplanned visit, I was still served with home cooked food fresh from the pot and pan, and the vegetables harvested from the hydroponic kit outside.

Thanks Puan Sakinah and the husband for the hospitality even though only a short notice was given beforehand. It was just a short stay and I immediately drove home to JB right after, something I myself couldn't believe I was doing as I had been on the road since 7.00 a.m. It was a weekend well spent.

A MINI GATHERING WITH OLD FRIENDS IN SEREMBAN

10th December 2014 ~ To kill two birds with one stone, I decided to pay an old friend from college in Seremban a short visit after my 3-day course in Port Dickson. Puan Sakinah Ismail was kind enough to welcome me to her house in Vision Homes. She had also invited two other ex- TESL coursemates and ex-Fourth Residential collegemates, Puan Marina Mahmood and Puan Farah Sabina Safaai, who are aslo residing in Seremban, to have some sort of a mini get together.

The last time I saw Puan Marina was at her wedding reception in Batu Pahat back in 1994. Puan Sakinah went for a gathering in 2010 in Kuala Lumpur (read here) and met her there while Puan Farah Sabina last visited my house during the Eid celebration this year.

Mr. Azhar Ahmad, Puan Sakinah's husband, who is also an old friend from the same residential college, took a half day off from work because he had to fetch me at the toll plaza and to lead me the way to their home. We were all served with delicious lunch and with all the exchanging of gossip for about 2 hours, I could not ask for more.

Too bad I could not stay longer as I had to rush back home to Johor Bahru.  It is always a pleasure to get to see old friends once in a while as we are all (or rather, I am) separated by the distance. Thanks a million to Puan Sakinah and Mr.Azhar for the warmth and hospitality. Hope to meet you again some other time in the near future.
