JUDGING DISTRICT LEVEL CHORAL SPEAKING COMPETITION

The Choral Speaking Competition for Johor Bahru District was held today at SMK Damansara Alif. I was there with Puan Jamiah Zainal and Mr. Bobby Chan to judge the choral speakers from 18 participating schools. 

Listening to and observing to 18 competing teams was not an easy task. I was already having a migraine while judging and thank God, most of teams finished their performances earlier than the allocated time. I think I should just stick to Public Speaking competitions after this.

Luckily, the unbearable headache was cured soon enough by eating a buffet lunch at Seoul Garden Plaza Angsana, a treat given by Mr. Haiqal Johari. All's well that ends well. :)

CHESS COMPETITION FOR DISTRICT LEVEL 2016

The Secondary School Chess Competition for Johor Bahru district level was held on the 13th and 14th July 2016 at SMK Damansara Aliff. It was quite late this year as it used to be held in the first school term before this.

As usual, I was there as one of the committee members to run the event. I must say we are in dire need of younger people in the team for next year. I had no time to take photos this time and that should explain the limited number of them this time.

Thanks to everybody for the assistance throughout the competition. We should one day go out and celebrate after all the hard work.

THE 4TH PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE OF THE YEAR

16th August 2014 ~ The fourth in-house training for teachers was held at CTL UTM. Dr. Hayati Ismail was kind enough to come down all the way from Putrajaya again to provide us with more input for "The Malaysia Education Blueprint". Dr. Hayati was an old friend of mine from college and the last time I saw her and he family was during the first week of Eid. She was here earlier this year on the 5th April, and you can click HERE to read about it.

This time, we had teachers from SMK Damansara Alif to join in the session. The more the merrier.

It all ended at 12:30 p.m. and with Dr. Hayati as the speaker, there was never a dull moment. This could also be my last in-house training with SMK Taman Universiti. *sad*
