SULTAN HASANUDIN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MAKASSAR

16th OCTOBER 2017 ~ It was finally time to bid farewell to Makassar. I got some time to spend to explore the big and modern Sultan Hasanudin International Airport. It still looked new or it was very well maintained. There were a lot of shops too, more shops if compared to other airports in Indonesia, like Medan or Lombok.

This should be the very last episode of my trip to Makassar in October 2018. I am still not sure when my next trip will be as the timing for the school holidays doesn't seem to allow me to travel. There will be fasting days and Eid celebration during the school break, for example. I will have to plan harder.

I am now blogging from Ujung Pandang, Makassar, Sulawesi, Indonesia - to be specific. This is a plan which has been finally executed during the one week break for the one-week Deepavali school holiday.

This is already my third day here and I am glad that I have chosen Makassar. Great place, great people and great food so far. I will still have a few more hours tomorrow before catching my plane back to Malaysia late in the afternoon. Guess there will be shopping activities, especially at the real market in the morning and would try to visit the museum too. Let's pray for a sunny weather for the island tomorrow.
