ATTENDING MR. SARAVANAN'S DEEPAVALI GATHERING

26th OCTOBER 2017 ~ We were invited again by Mr. Saravanan, an English teacher of SMK Seni Johor Bahru, for a Deepavali open house at his place in Mount Austin. There were also many other guest - Mr. Saravanan's friends and relatives. It was already the 9th day of the celebration but it was never too late to hold function like this in Malaysia.

As usual there were a lot of authentic, delicious Indian food being served. This was actually our second time visiting.

We had to give away our seats to people who were arriving and decided to extend the gathering for coffee (among ourselves) at a McCafe in a McD outlet nearby (as these people had endless stream of gossips to deliver).

Thanks Mr. Saravanan for inviting us. You should know my friends would never say "NO" to meetings when there is food available, during or after. Hope to visit you again next year.

BOYS' DAY OUT

A date was finally set with Mr. Amirul Husni [SMKTUN's SPM batch 2010] for an outing trip after all the lengthy planning. So we decided to go to Aeon Tebrau City as it is near to my house. Basically what we did were:

(1) watch a movie.

(2) ate dinner at Chicken Rice Shop.
(3) walked around the shopping mall.
(4) went to buy a few things at Aeon Shopping Centre.

Only my second time here and I must confess the chicken rice was really tasty. I don't mind going again.

I even met an old schoolmate from SMS Muar at the restaurant. We had not met since we left school so that must have been 30 years ago.

(5) To conclude the meeting, we had coffee at McD's McCafe at Setia Tropika.

Thanks Mr. Husni for the time and the company. Let's do this again some other time, soon.

GETTING MORE CAKE AND LATTE AFTER SCHOOL

The "happy meal" get together continued today. (OMG!)

McCafe is now having a promotion in conjunctions with the upcoming Mother's Day. Two cups of regular latte cost only RM6 so that could be a strong reason to make a comeback after visiting a McD restaurant yesterday.

Other than that, considering the limited number of friends I have nowadays who could keep me company over coffee, I would never say "NO" to the opportunity to have the chance to chat (read: gossip).

Ramadhan is coming soon and I am quite sure I will lose some weight during the fasting month. :P

Too bad there is a nearby McD outlet (with a McCafe station) near school in Mutiara Rini which has made the temptation to get the cake and the coffee too strong to resist.

Thanks Mr. Syahril. We can still have a few more meetings before the school break starts.
