THE SMALL AND QUAINT TOWN OF QUEENSTOWN, NZ

26th DECEMBER ~ After travelling for about 9 hours in the bus, we finally arrived in Queenstown at 5:30 p.m.. It was quite late actually but it was summer in the south hemisphere so the day was longer because the sun set only after 9:00 p.m. Once we had checked in at the booked accommodation, without wasting any second, we went to the town which was very near.

It was a small and quaint town but I believe it had welcomed millions of tourists year in, year out. Queenstown should be a hub for tourism in New Zealand as it offers variety of activities, ranging from sight-seeing to extreme sports like skiing, sky-diving, white river rafting and mountaineering.

Queenstown is the place for you if you need to escape from the hectic life you are leading. You just have to sit by the lakeside and enjoy the panoramic view, and forget any other thing in life. That was what we basically did in the afternoon and evening when we were there, and I am already missing the beauty and serenity of that place. *sigh*
