ANOTHER SATURDAY FILLED WITH WEDDING RECEPTIONS

31st May ~ I attended four wedding receptions today, one after another. Here's the report of the three ceremonies that I went to. The first one was not in the report as I left my camera in the car. And the report is going to be very brief.

PAINTING THE SCHOOL RED

Today was "gotong royong" [translate: voluntary work] day in school even though we are in the middle of holiday. I was trying to cover up some scribbling on the wall done by irresponsible people. With the help of a group of seven boys and a teacher, we went around school to spray away the miserable work of art and replace it with our own.

I just hope that no one will complain later that our job has made the walls uglier and if that happens, well, I am ready to repaint everything again.

Thanks to Ikmal, Izz Fahmi, Zaqrul, Wafie, Firdaus, Haziq, Raqib and Mr. Daniel Hamiz for all the help. Let's wait for other people's comment.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION IN SCHOOL

25th May 2014 ~ Amirul Arif wanted to celebrate his birthday with his other friends in the Angklung group  who are in the afternoon session and of course I had to agree. So I asked the others to come out earlier from class as they should have finished answering the exam paper by then.

Thanks Amirul Arif for the treat. Everybody was happy and hope that you were happier to get to celebrate your birthday with us.

A HI-TEA TO BID FAREWELL TO A RETIRING COLLEAGUE

24th May 2014 ~ A hi-tea was organized to bid farewell to a colleague who would be retiring, Puan Tuan Mah Tuan Mat. There were 39 people, including family members of a few colleagues, attending the function which was very informal.

Puan Lee Kim Luan, who retired two years ago (I think), was also invited as we did not have the chance to hold a hi-tea when she left school. Another ex-colleague, Mr. Mustafa Kamal Mohd. Yusof, was there after attending a meeting in his school.

I hope this had been a memorable event for Puan Tuan Mah and I am sure she will enjoy her time not to be in school anymore. *calculating how many more years I will be retiring ~BIG SIGH~*

THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE FIRST TERM 2014

Today was the last day of school for the first term this year. How time flies. And we are having a longer break this time - 19 days of holiday. The school will reopen on Sunday, the 15th of June. 

The students were happy, the teachers were happier.

And today should also be the last day for Puan Tuan Mah Tuan Mat, a morning session teacher, before enjoying her retirement life. *Counting fingers enviously*
