5th JUNE 2022 ~ This place was historical as at this very spot back on 10th September 1945, the Commander of the Japanese Army handed his sword over the Commander of the Australian Imperial Forces. This meant the Japanese had surrendered and marked the end of WWll in Borneo. This happened after all the lives that had been sacrificed in the name of war.
The Surrender Point is actually just beside the Peace Park so you have to get out a bit to find it.
Labuan must have been one strategic spot during the war and there are a few historical sites related to WWll here.
