ATTENDING A WEDDING RECEPTION OF A CATERER'S SON IN PENANG

   26th October 2025    ~ This wedding reception was an unplanned one. My friend, Puan Aishah Aboo Bakar, asked me to tag along her family attending a wedding reception of the son of someone who was a stranger to me. According to her, the host was a popular caterer of Mamak food in Penang.

I don't think I had much choice so I happily obliged. The only problem was I did not bring extra shirt for the event. The only solution was to recycle the same shirt I wore to the wedding the day before. [READ HERE]

The event was held at Che Hoon Koor Moral Uplifting Society Hall, somewhere in Georgetown.

There were many food stalls outside the main hall, offering variety of food. It felt more like a Food Fest than a wedding reception.

Thanks to my friend for dragging me along. It was an experience of a lifetime, attending a reception where most of the guests comprised of the Mamak clan. The food was superb, and I had a happy tummy before flying back home to Johor Bahru.
