Chiang Mai Airport was just a small building but it was modern and well taken care of. I believe it has been another important entry point for tourists and locals alike.
While exploring, I came across two exhibitions on the ground floor: "The Exhibition of the Northern Ethnic" and "World on a Bike."
The latter told the story of two Thai bikers who went on a journey around the world on their bicycles. They were there to promote their photo journey books. I wanted to buy the two volumes of the books but hesitated as they were quite expensive.
Good news for Muslim travelers, there is also a praying room ["surau"] at the airport. There is no need for you to worry anymore.
Another airport to bid farewell to - I wonder whether there will be another time to be there again.
