7th February 2016 ~ When visiting Indonesia, the best activity is to savour its authentic local food. And in Jogjakarta, most of the restaurants serve halal food so there is no reason not to try, unless you are a very fussy person or someone whose taste bud does not accept international cooked dishes.
After clearing the immigration, our tour husband and wife guides, Pak Rustam and Ibu Narni, took us to this restaurant called Pondok Cabe. [translate: Chili Hut]. Food was ordered and served on the table and everyone was extremely hungry, I did not even remember to take photos of the dishes. Everything was delicious and we were ready to continue with our next itinerary.
There was a small stall in the restaurant displaying local snacks and I learned that Jogjakarta is synonymous with this sweet cake named "Bakpia".
The restaurant also has delivery service so people could enjoy its sensational hot (or spicy) food (as stated on the restaurant's signboard) by ordering from home.
