5th DECEMBER 2016 ~ On the second day of our stay in Luang Prabang, we decided to go to a famous tourist spot 35 kilometres away from the town: Kuangsi Waterfalls. While walking uphill along the track, visitors would first come across this Bear Rescue Centre just a few metres after the entrance.
There were a few bears lazing around the sanctuary. If you are lucky, you will get the chance to observe the bears nearer if they come closer to the place you are standing. If not, you will just have to see them from far.
You could also get more information on bears which is very informative and educational. There is a kiosk selling souvenirs such as t-shirts. I wanted to buy a shirt but was in doubt as the size did not seem to fit me well.
