24th MARCH 2018 ~ The touristy Armenian street is closed to traffic in the evening every weekends to make way for the night market to be held along the stretch of road.
It was just a small scale kind of market selling mostly local food and souvenir items. However, there were many tourists flocking the area when I was there. And the market was actually found right in front of the hotel where I was staying.
The market ceased operation quite early though. By 7:00 p.m., the road was already clear of the trading activities and visitors, as if nothing major had happened before that.
Not a bad place to visit especially if you (are a Malaysian and) want to feel like a real tourist in Penang.
