17th DECEMBER 2018 ~ The most prominent landmark in Hua Hin is none other than its historic train station. Visitors came here to take photos with the brightly painted building in red and yellow and it should be Instagram worthy. (No, I don't have an Instagram account.) The station is still operating as usual so you have to be careful not to be run over by the trains but people are allowed to cross and stand on the tracks when the place is clear.
The wooden main train station and the royal waiting room are very well preserved, giving people the chance to admire its unique Siamese architecture.
The station is significant as it was once used by the royal family to travel to their seaside resort in Hua Hin.
Make sure you come here when there are not many people around as it could get crowded at times (especially with tourists from China). I was here a few times as this place was near to the halal food stall and the night market.
