26TH AUGUST 2023 ~ We just had a big feast at the wedding reception but that did not stop us from going on the hunt for Laksa Kuala Kangsar, a kind of local food there. The only place we could find was the food stalls area near Sungai Perak, which was actually one touristy spot.
Surprise! Surprise! We met another UPM TESL friend there, Puan Anita Abdul Rahman, with her husband who were on their short getaway. Well, you can run but you cannot hide. 😀
We successfully got our Laksa Kuala Kangsar so the mission was accomplished.
After the light meal a.k.a tea time, we even went on the river cruise on Sungai Perak, but that was another story in the next post.
Before leaving, we stopped by at the stalls selling souvenirs. The items that people bought from Kuala Kangsar would be its Labu Sayung, water containers traditionally made of clay. I got a few miniature ones to bring home and should be something that would make me reminisce of my first trip to Kuala Kangsar.
