A LUNCH DATE WITH AN EX-STUDENT AND EX-COLLEAGUE

A lunch date was set with an ex-student of SMK Taman Universiti, Ms. Michelle Fatimah a.k.a Ng Lee Lan and an ex-colleague, Puan Yusidah Md. Yusof. The chosen venue this time was "Cookies and Ginger" at Adda Heights.

A reservation for three had made been made a few hours earlier. Luckily the booking was done first or else we had to settle for the seats outside the main hall. It was a public holiday hence there were many people who ate out today.

We ordered the tray which contained variety of (mainly Western) foods such as fried rice and omelette, spaghetti, lamb and chicken chops, fish and chips, huge sausages and salad. The set meal came with a jar of iced lemon tea.

THE VERDICT: The price was [very] reasonable for a huge portion of food. One good reason to come back with other people some other time in the future.

As we were about to leave the place, I saw a familiar sitting outside and it was Mr. Ismail who was once a non-academic staff of SMK Taman Universiti, back in the 90's. It is a small world after all.

Thanks Ms. Michelle Fatimah a.k.a Ng Lee Lan for the treat. You have always been very kind and this was not the first time you asked us out for a meal and paid for it. Hopefully we can do this more often when you come back home from Singapore during your break. It is actually interesting to hear stories of your experience working in a private hospital in a foreign country which could be something not related to school.
