The last time we had face-to-face chess competition was in 2020, just a month before C19 was declared a pandemic and all social activities were prohibited. Last year, the competition was done online. After 2 years, we now had the district level competition for Johor Bahru secondary schools running again at SMK Mohd. Khalid, from 27th - 28th July 2022.
Other than managing the competition, we got to meet old friends and ex-students too.

SMK Dato' Jaafar sent 8 participants for the two categories and someone from the Under 15 group managed to secure the 10th position.

Two days of hard work and now it would be the state level which will be held next month in Segamat.
