THE TESL PRE WEDDING RECEPTION GATHERING IN PUTRAJAYA

   27TH SEPTEMBER 2024    ~ There was a pre UPM TESL wedding reception gathering held the evening before the real event [READ HERE]. The chosen venue this time was Indus Restaurant in Putrajaya. 

This should be my second time here. The first time was also with a group of TESL friends back in 2018, after visiting another friend in a hospital in Kajang [READ HERE]. After six years, the place sure had changed a lot.

We conquered the centre part of the open dining area, with a few tables combined to accommodate everybody and a few came with their spouses and children.

There were many diners that evening and this was a popular spot to celebrate birthdays in Putrajaya. The birthday songs were sung seven times when we were there.

One of the birthday people celebrating was from our group, Puan Hanna Sheikh Mokhtar.

There was also a live band performance at the restaurant. We, however, were seated right in front of the loud speakers so communicating over dinner was almost impossible unless we shouted to the person sitting beside us.

Someone from the group went up the stage to sing a song with the band.

We had to leave by 10:00 p.m. so we could go back and have enough rest to party again the next day at the wedding reception.

We had to thank the newly retired Puan Salmiah Ghazali for the dinner treat. I should have ordered something more expensive if I had known about it earlier.
